Zero Waste Project

This project involved strict guidelines. I was given the task to create a mans shirt with a given amount of fabric. My challenge was to use every single piece of fabric up.  To utilise the fabric I inserted a concealed button fastening and other details. I wasn't very pleased with the final outcome but it was great practice! This is a excellent task for fashion students; very challenging!

French Connection

Most recent project: Designing a range (Autumn/Winter 12/13) for French Connection. This particular range is based around the trend Eco-Hedonism which involves earthy colours, natural forms and heavy fabrics such as leather, suede and sheepskin.

Product Inspiration Board

This was my product inspiration board for my 'Soft Focus' trend. It inspired a series of designs for my Paul Smith collection. This was my first project of the first year.

 First attempt of flat drawings!

Final Outcome

This was my final piece inspired by the colours and shapes used within Gustav Klimts work. Each triangle uses a different technique such as Batik dying, embroidery, drawing and reverse applique.

Reverse Applique Panel. These designs are quite old but this is when I first realised I wanted to pursue Fashion Design!
